Shells of Hope Announces $50,000 Donation to Create a Dedicated Fund for Car T Cell Research at Madsen Lab

Shells of Hope is creating dedicated fund for the Madsen Lab at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia which is researching a CAR-T cell treatment for aggressive brain tumors such as mid-line gliomas and ependymomas with an initial $50,000 donation. This perpetual fund will be available to accept direct donations in the future specifically for researching this treatment at CHOP.
CAR T-cell therapy is a revolutionary personalized treatment that genetically engineers a patient's own immune T-cells to recognize and destroy cancer which Dr. Peter Madsen and his team are researching to treat childhood brain tumors.

Shells of Hope teamed up with Stone Harbor Property Owners Association for 2025 Harbor Hustle 5K/1M on June 22nd and raised over $13,500 for childhood cancer patients.
